Devine Blacksher has always been a storyteller. With over a decade working in editorial, her writing has appeared in The New York Times, New York Magazine, The Cut, Vogue, Essence, The Strategist, and Dazed, covering the culture, style, and identity of the people and brands defining the moment.

Raised in Metro Detroit and a graduate of the University of Michigan, Devine brings a culture editor's eye to all of her work. Alongside her journalism career, she has led creative storytelling for Fortune 500 companies including Walmart and Google, shaping major campaigns like Megan Thee Stallion's Hot Girl Universe and Karol G's Google Search × Coachella. Her approach starts with curiosity, looking closely at people and culture, then translating what she sees into work that feels insightful and human.

Community shows up throughout her work, in the people she gathers, the spaces she builds, and the stories she chooses to tell. She’s a founding member of To Many More and a New York hike lead for Hike Clerb. Lately, she's been bringing her work closer to two worlds she's known all her life: golf and Detroit techno.

She is currently available for brand strategy, creative direction, copywriting, and feature writing for brands and publications seeking cultural fluency, thoughtful storytelling, and a distinct point of view. To get in touch, email her at writetodevine@gmail.com. Portfolio available upon request.
